Two teams. Two hair colors. One afternoon of football to benefit Alzheimer's research.

Blondes vs. Brunettes is a volunteer-driven event that raises awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association®. Two teams of women – divided to reflect the age-old rivalry between blondes and brunettes – compete in a flag football game to help end Alzheimer’s. The participants also recruit coaches, announcers and other volunteers to build an atmosphere of fierce, friendly competition. Leading up to game day, the two teams participate in a series of events to socialize and increase awareness for Alzheimer’s disease. (from the alz.org website)

My wife Amanda has participated in this event for several years now and we've been happy to pay her $250 entrance fee knowing the money goes to a good cause. This year, though, I'm looking to bring StartJOIN in off the bench as the MVP of the day. StartJOIN seems to have picked up some good traction in the UK, but over here in the States I don't see as much recognition and that needs to change.

Along with getting Amanda's entrance fee paid up, I'd like to see StartJOIN hit one of the sponsorship goals at the bottom of the page here to spread the word. To the best of my knowledge, neither of these elite spots have been taken and since Amanda is on the T-shirt committee, we can ensure the best available publicity for StartJOIN if we were to hit that goal. The deadlines are coming up near the end of the month, so I need to see in a hurry if there's enough interest to get it done.
